AT&T is all set to receive their version of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, and though they haved added ‘4G’ to its name, you’ll get the same Playstation Certified handset already released in other parts of the world (and on Verizon in the States). The 4G here is HSPA+ (not LTE), and the phone ships with a 1GHz CPU with Adreno 205 graphics, a 4-inch display, and comes in an exclusive “stealth blue” color scheme. Accessories available at launch will include a multimedia dock and music cable.

The Xperia Play 4G will ship with seven games pre-installed when it lands at AT&T on September 18th. Realizing the handset is already getting a bit old in the tooth, the whole thing can be yours for a mere $49.99 in conjunction with a new two-year contract.

  1. meh, waited too long

  2. i can’t believe this ,I just got a $829.99 iPad2 for only $103.37 and my mom got a $1499.99 HDTV for only $251.92, they are both coming with USPS tomorrow. I would be an idiot to ever pay full retail prices at places like Walmart or Bestbuy. I sold a 37″ HDTV to my boss for $600 that I only paid $78.24 for. I use http://xub.me/ab

  3. Kevin , at risk of sounding like a d nozzle, I believe the phrase is “a bit long in the tooth” I could be wrong there though.
This phone may just end up being my sons first smart phone.
