Toshiba hasn’t quite taken the lid off their brand new Honeycomb tablet later this week at IFA, but the folks over at Notebook Italia went snooping around and were able to grab some shots of what could be known as the Toshiba Excite. Along with the images comes confirmation of microSD, microUSB, and mini HDMI ports. Rumors point to a dual-core 1.5GHz TI OMAP 4460 chipset calling the shots. More information will surely become available as the week progresses, but Toshiba’s new tablet isn’t looking too bad at first glance.

Bring on the $99 fire sale of the thrive!!!
I’m so glad I didn’t buy a Thrive for full price cause you KNOW they’re gonna drop when this thing comes out! Good I love how crazy the Android Tablet market is right now, these companies don’t know what they’re doing. “Let’s make the worlds THICKEST tablet…NO? That didn’t sell? Ok, let’s make it thinner and sell this thick one for $100!!!” Come on Toshiba, hook us UP!
Finally something other than a Tegra chipset.
Cant wait.
i want
When does the sale start, they make a tablet it don’t sell very well, they put out another one, for what, if the price is not right they won’t sell this one either.
While this is different in a market flooded by Tegra 2 devices, I personally am going to wait for Honeycomb to get a UI polish before I look at Android tablets again. My HP Touchpad has ruined me :(
