By The exact release date of Minecraft for Android is unknown at this point, but that’s not stopping Sony Ericsson from teasing the upcoming Xperia Play exclusive. And when we say tease, we mean the smallest of teases possible in the for of a nine-second video clip. One thing we do know is that the game will cost $6.99 when it does launch.

I sure hope this will be ported to other Android phones. If I can beat levels in Mario 64 with ease with touch screen controls then I sure as hell can play Minecraft properly. I need to work on building my village etc from mobile! Please.

Its still early days yet for the Play but with the likes of Mine-craft soon making its depute on the Play first, the great work from XDA like the recent development to inject our own iso’s into the Play-station App. There are high hopes for its future!
