Apps of the Day: Gorilla Jump & Movie Night Out

1

It’s time for another edition of apps of the day. I have to admit, I felt kind of guilty putting a near-exact clone of a very popular game as one of two honored apps, but how can you deny bananas? I mean, seriously – bananas are awesome. And yellow. Farfetch’d justification to curb the guilt I’m feeling for promoting a blatant clone? Nah. I just love bananas. Really, it’s that simple.

Gorilla Jump – It’s quite hard to get a Papi Jump clone wrong, Gorilla Jump was made on those same concepts. Instead of a blob, your’e a gorilla. And instead of coins, you like to collect bananas. Simple enough, I suppose. OpenFeint support’s all here for your achievement hunting needs and the experience is all free. Get in on it if you want, but if you’ve played Papi Jump, you’ve played Gorilla Jump. [Market]

Movie Night Out – While some of us prefer hitting the town and letting our night unfold randomly and unpredictably, we’re more than aware of the crowd who likes to have everything planned down to the very side of the sidewalks they’ll be walking on as they go from point A to point B. Movie Night Out is for that type of crowd. Despite its name, Movie Night Out will lead you to much more fun after seeing a film on the big screen. A decent concept, to say the least. [Market]

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.
