No one cares! Motorola, bring us the Bionic!
“Remember, the Photon 4G is Sprint’s first dual-core AND 4G Android device”
Wrong. The EVO 3D was the first.
Crap, I actually meant to put “by Motorola” after that.
The Photon 4G – The FIRST Android 4G Phone by Motorola on Sprint for $199 in North America… IN THE WORLD!!!
Meh…encrypted bootloader…screw you Motorola. HTC at least is committing to timely updates and an unlocked bootloader in August for the Evo 3D. Not impressed that much. Sticking to HTC.
now if only Sprint could bring 4g to the cities in the Metropolis of Detroit.
Jerk! There are decent people who live in that city.
Conveniently releases a few days after the 30 day return window expires for the Evo 3D…. o_O
I just got my Evo 3D last weekend and I’m tempted… I don’t like Motorola though….
I really wish this was the Samsung GS2, but then again I hate Samsung as well….
Guess I’m stuck with the 3D…
You purchased the EVO 3D just as I have and on sprint this is their flagship device bot the Photon 4g. HTC takes care of their flagship EVO line like gold and I should know being an former evo 4G owner for over 1yr. We made a great purchase because whatever appears from Samsung if anything comes it will be a watered down verison of the Galaxy S2 that hits the states it definitely won’t be the same model our friends recieved from abroad. The EVO 3D is definitely the top 2 devices on the market
I agree completely, no matter how good the GS2 is supposed to be, I’ll never buy another Samsung phone. I wish just wish Sprint had got the Sensation instead of the EVO3D
so instead of giving us all the sgs2 that we want they would give us this crap. FU us carriers FU!
It great to see the addition of this handset on the best carrier in the states. This clearly makes sprint tops with the EVO 3D as well. Looks like we are sitting pretty at the now network add in the Nexus S4g and Evo 4G what else can you ask for. And oh yeah UNLIMITED ALL DAY LONG BABY…
Almost enough to make me jump off t-mobile (not on contract), if only Sprint hadn’t apparently *FOUND* the account of mine they *LOST* back in 2007 and now want me to pay the ETF… which wouldn’t have been a problem if they hadn’t *LOST* my account back in 2007. By which I mean, I couldn’t even pay the bill because their computers claimed I wasn’t a customer and my phone# (which was still working) didn’t exist. Since I couldn’t pay the bill and CS reps couldn’t find my account, what was I to do? So I jumped to T-Mobile.. but I miss the better data coverage. Only, in the meantime they *found* my missing account and charged it an ETF.
I love how the smaller carriers are getting flagship devices. Verizon is beginning to suck. If I was not required by work to be on Verizon, I would flush them.
This http://phandroid.com/2011/07/13/european-atrix-finds-itself-with-an-unlocked-bootloader-thanks-to-project-cheesecake/ makes me think the locked bootloader wont be that big of a deal. If the photon is running CM7 by the time my contract is up in August, I’m definitely going with that over the gimmicky evo3d.
