Huawei Ascend II Comes to Cricket, Get it for Only $129

5

Cricket has announced that it will be carrying the Huawei Ascend II, the followup to the budget smartphone launched last October on the no-commitment network. The Android 2.3 Ascend II features a 3.5-inch display, 600HMz CPU, and 5MP camera all for the off-contract price of $179.99. If you act now, a web-only offer is available with an instant $50 discount bringing the total price down to $129.99. Cricket’s all-inclusive Android smartphone plan is priced at $55.

Huawei brings an interesting dynamic to the Android world with their low-cost, yet relevant Android handsets. Gone are the days where cheap phones meant outdated versions of Android OS. In some cases, these Huawei units are shipping with newer versions of Android than some of the most high-end devices on the market. Can’t beat that for the price, can you?

  1. Now that is tempting, I would probably buy it and use it a PMP but Cricket does not sell devices to New York.

  2. Not bad for what I consider a low end phone.

  3. Low end? The Iphone has always had that screen and except the 4, it has always had that resolution.

It’s a mid-end phone and for 130$ a good offer. In Spain the similar Huawei “Sonic” or U8650 is sold for 80€ which is an incredible bargain.

    1. Well it’s not a low-end “phone”, but it’s a low-end “smartphone”. It’s one of the cheapest Android smartphones you can get now. By the end of the year we might even see $100 Android smartphones.

  4. I paid $32.67 for a XBOX 360 and my mom got a 17 inch Toshiba laptop for $94.83 being delivered to our house tomorrow by FedEX. I will never again pay expensive retail prices at stores. I even sold a 46 inch HDTV to my boss for $650 and it only cost me $52.78 to get. Here is the website we using to get all this stuff,

    BidsOut .com
It is not a low end phone.
