9

Probably one of the most leaked phones in recent memory, T-Mobile has sent out a press release officially confirming a July 27th launch date for the HTC Mytouch 4G Slide. If you were really looking to be one of the first to get your hands on this device, T-Mobile will also be taking pre-orders as early as July 19th.

The phone boasts one of the highest quality camera sensors found on a smartphone today with almost zero lag when taking shots. Also on board is a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, 8MP camera capable of 1080p video recording and of course, a full qwerty keyboard.

The Mytouch 4G Slide will priced at $200 on a 2-year contract. Anyone excited about picking up one of these? Or is the design of the phone throwing you for a loop?

I've been obsessed with consumer technology for about as long as I can remember, be it video games, photography, or mobile devices. If you can plug it in, I have to own it. Preparing for the day when Android finally becomes self-aware and I get to welcome our new robot overlords.

    1. It may work, it is GSM. It uses 2100 for the HSPA (like Aussie networks) but you may have to get an unlock code.

  7. We need more rumors of TMO phones releasing in 2012…seeing as how the Nexus prime isn’t going to cut it for me.

  8. The black one looks sweet, cant say the same for the khaki color. I must say that no keyboard compares to the G2’s but i would love to try this one out as its very similar to the myTouch 3g slides keyboard. They were a lil too spaced out for me but who knows. Only thing is that i hate that the myTouch series always has plastic buttons. I think for a higher end phone, nowadays, should have capacitive buttons. If it looked like the Sensation with a keyboard, I’d be all over this one!!! We need a up to date G2!!! That phone is my favorite due to the ease of use as well as the layout of the keyboard!! and I’ve had alot. (myTouch 3g, mT3gSlide, mT4g, G2, G2x, Evo, Evo Shift,Sidekick 09 and 08, Blackberry Bold) plz Tmo… Drop a G3!!!! ;)
