By Google is at it again! It was earlier today we learned of the Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread update being rolled out for Nexus S users. But if that didn’t really tickle your fancy becuase you don’t own a Nexus S, I got news for you. Google is giving away a shiny new Samsung Nexus S with their Nexus S Challenge 2. The catch? Simply follow their Google Nexus account on Twitter and prepare to jump through a few hoops if you hope to win.

The Nexus S was, unfortunatly, outdated within a few months of its launch; this isn’t big news.

Like many Phandroids here, I would say the same thing. If this is the surprise, I will freaking dumb founded as the Gingerbread update was better. As someone else called it, “that’s a pretty shity surprise.” And even worst, they are giving away one. That is classic.

Meh. I already bought the Nexus S and although I could try to win one for my wife, this seems like a whole lot of effort for something less than wonderful.
Ok Google…you know what I think is lame? You are doing this on Twitter and not a thing on Buzz. Why don’t you, AT LEAST, mirror this on Buzz? Just one of many principles of marketing is to ATTRACT people to your services!
This is almost as retarded as Apple’s revolutionary iTunes surprise being that they added the Beatles catalog to their store…I mean I like the Beatles, but seriously way to get our hopes up and then smash them to bits.

Dumb for even thinking a nexus device would be announced soon to be 5 months after Nexus S was released.
No, thinking doesn’t qualify as dumb. Inversely…not thinking, which seems to be your case since you were so quick to leave a useless comment, does qualify as dumb.
I’ll also point out that the Nexus S is a smartphone. I said I was hoping to see the next Nexus DEVICE, which could be either a phone or a tablet. Lastly technology moves so quickly these days, the only parties who are sure of when the next big thing comes out are the companies which make them.
Please, next time you want to insult me, at least try to sound intelligent doing so.
