CNN for Android Phones Hits the Market

10

CNN finally made their way to Android when the Motorola XOOM launched but there was just one problem – their application was for Honeycomb tablets only. All that’s finally changed, though, as they have today released a fully-featured application in the Android market. Features include iReport tools, CNN Radio, live video, notifications of breaking news, a customizable widget and more. CNN’s mobile site wasn’t always bad to me, but I do prefer an app a lot more. Head on over to the Android market for this free download. [Thanks Tati!]

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

  1. Another great application to have on your device.

  2. CNN releases an app for Android now?!

That essentially sums up the difference in app development/releases for iOS and Android.

    1. Your point?

  3. Although everyone complains that Fox News is too conservative, almost no one mentions the full truth, which is that the others, including CNN and MSNBC, are too liberal.

    1. Says who? Their news coverage isn’t slanted like Fox’s is… so because opinion shows from 5-10 at night may lean one way, they’re too liberal? Watch the actual “news” programs on Fox some time, then compare them to CNN or MSNBC. One is propaganda, the others are news.

    2. Troll Homer is too Trollish. Seriously wtf does this have to do with the app? Crawl back under your bridge.

    3. I think you meant to say “factual” or professional instead of liberal. CNN and MSNBC handle themselves in much the same way as ABC, CBS, and NBC world news programs. FOX seems to be the only one making a circus out of current events.

      1. CNN and MSNBC very secretly makes up stuff to get people to side with the liberals.
MSNBC is just as bad as Fox News, and although CNN appears to be “more fair,” they’re actually also one sided.

  4. finally… i need this

  5. Yes, now we can get lies on our phones too! Faux Noise Rules!
