HTC Sensation Makes a Promo Video Appearance Ahead of Today’s Launch Event

18

HTC should be making the Sensation official any minute now, but in case you can’t wait any longer here is a promo video found floating around the back alleys of YouTube. The video calls the HTC Sensation a “multimedia superphone” and touts its all new version of the Sense UI. Whether this means it is simply the latest version of Sense or a completely new update we have yet to see we aren’t quite sure, but it has been some time since the custom interface has been updated, so chances are good we’ll be hearing about a re-tooled experience at today’s launch event.

  1. Sweet!! Loving the looks of the phone so far….

  2. AT&T bands?

    1. Never for At&t… They could always wish but trust me at&t will never have this smartphone

      1. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snapdragon_(system_on_chip)

If you take a look at the link and search for “MSM8260” (which is the chip being used in the Sensation), you’ll notice that is supports GSM, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS/WCDMA, HSDPA, HSUPA, HSPA+, MBMS. Surely ONE of those are compatible with AT&T’s HSPA+ 4G network…
(Not saying it IS coming, but that it theoretically COULD, which is a more accurate response than Richard’s wishful “never”.)

    2. Don’t worry, one of the big 3 Canadian carriers will pick it up, and they all use AT&T bands.

  3. Definitely packing Evo 3d specs just missing the MSM 8660 processor which will seperate these devices speed wise. If this comes to tmobile they should be happy cause they will then have the Lg Optimus G2x and the Sensation great choices. Bottom line if you ain’t rolling with htc then YOUR NOT ROLLING

    1. I guess I’m not ROLLING cuz I carry a Samsung. I guess I’m FAIL.

    2. You are an idiot. The only difference between the MSM 8660 and the 8260 is the types of radios they have. GTFO with your Sprint trolling (and to think I’m on the same network as you).

    3. Haha I guess I’m not rolling either with my 2.2 Samsung Moment (unsupported by Sprint or Samsung who left us with 2.1, but thanks to the devs at SDX we might possibly get 2.3 within the coming months).

Oh, by the way, the processor speed in both models is THE SAME. Google it if you don’t believe me. Inform yourself of your own fault.

  4. Don’t be greedy AT&T boys, you already got the Atrix.

  5. Looks great! Amazing promo. HTC ROCKS.

  6. Don’t worry, one of the big 3 Canadian carriers will pick it up, and they all use AT&T bands.

  7. If memory serves, it’s running Sense 3.0…..which is somewhat comical, seeing as we’ve only gotten one phone stateside that has Sense 2.0….and a nerfed version at that.

  8. If only this phone came with stock android : /

  9. Sweet!

I wish I just heard that music playing any time I was using my phone!

  10. Why didn’t Sprint get this I would rather have 1 camera with a better looking unibody. I really don’t care for 3D, and how many people have a 3D TV anyway?
