Motorola Enlisting 1,000 Bravo Owners to Test Software Upgrade to Android 2.2

7

The time is almost here, Bravo owners – Froyo shall soon be yours. The sweet dessert was once delayed for the device but Motorola’s now opened the floodgates for 1,000 testers to get their hands on it. The catch? Just be willing to guinea pig software that may or may not turn your phone into a pile of molten lava. (These things aren’t usually harmful, though. In fact, they’re often quite stable.)

Be sure to fill out this registration form for your chance to get in on the fun. (You’ll need to join Moto’s support forums so be sure to do that if you haven’t already.) More details about the process can be had here, while details about what the upgrade itself brings can be had here. [via AC]

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

    So all of them?

  2. …could probably do more with a pile of molten lava that you could with a phone on AT&T’s spotty network.

    I kid, I kid.

  3. the phone actually sells well, and is faster than the captivate IMO. for 49$, you cant go wrong with it. not for us tech geeks, but a nice 3.7″ screen, form factor, and now hopefully 2.2, it is a good solution for most customers who are looking for mid level android.

  4. All kinds of hate lol! But I can agree as a Moto Cliq owner that Motoblur sucks B@LLS! I remember after finally receiving the official 2.1 update (took a whole damn year) how horrible the new U.I. was & it made the phone even slower. If it wasn’t for Moto though I wouldn’t know how awesome & freeing it is to root, rom, & upgrade it yourself. Cynogen Mod with some overclocking is a God send on this Cliq! I feel sorry for those Bravo owners or any Moto user that have to put up with MotoBlur. I can attest to the fact that I had fallen in love with MotoBlur but soon that relationship went sour. Good luck Bravo owners..if ya find issues with your phone, come to the darkside. Root that b!tch, install a fresh rom, & feel the freedom! :D

  6. Judging by the six comments here it’s going to be hard volunteering 1000

  7. Great. An update for the Bravo, mere weeks after they announced they’d abandoned the Fliout and Charm. You can’t even get the Bravo where I live. Thanks a bnch, Motorola!
