April 12th Could Be the Date for the HTC Pyramid Launching Under the HTC Sensation Name

17

One of the prime candidates for HTC’s April 12th event in the UK might have just been confirmed. As many guessed, the latest rumors put the HTC Pyramid as the device the handset manufacturer is eager to show off. The other bit of news here is that the phone will launch with the street name HTC Sensation, matching a recent trademark filing. When the phone is actually released is still up for debate, but within the next few months seems a safe bet.

The Pyramid/Sensation has been rumored to feature a set of specs that stack up to the recently announce HTC EVO 3D, which we have learned is also slated for Europe. How it will differentiate from that handset other than the 3D aspect isn’t known at this time.

    1. just making sure i know my phones, but wasn’t HTC passion originally the name for a Nexus one?

      edit: I am still half-asleep…I meant to say isn’t the HTC passion the name of the Nexus One(originally). When i read passion, i immediately thought of that name the HTC Passion

      1. I think it is hTC Dragon.

  4. This phone will be releasing on my birthday… (if true)

    Thats a sign that i need to get it

  5. You know what would be nice…. The same specs as the EVO 3D but with these changes.

    Changes:
    * Drop 3D and go with a single 8mp or better rear camera
    * Larger battery
    * 16GB of internal storage
    * kickstand
    * Have both LTE and WiMax
    * NFC
    * 2mp or better front camera

    That’s what I’d like to see…

    1. Wishful thinking at best. I agree with the camera. That’s plausible. But the rest….not so much.

      1. Im 90% sure it has NFC, look at the leaked pictures and look at the battery cover

        1. I thought that was an inductive charging thing, Hm…dunno. I’ve still got 8 months on my Incredible anyway, so I suppose it doesn’t much matter

          1. It’s an antenna thing.

          2. Perhaps, but the connectors look similar to that of the Nexus S. We shall see.

  6. *tosses out some troll food* Where’s our favorite Pyramid troll? No posts yet?? I’m disappointed

  7. I think this is my next phone. Be good to see how it performs.

  8. This is how these devices will be different.. Htc Sensation, 1.2 Qualcomm Dualcore Snapdragon Proccessor MSM (8260) 768 mb of ram, 2gb of internal memory, 8meg pixel camera with dual flash, NO KICKSTAND, New Htc sense v3.0, No hdmi port, Dnla enabled, Htc sense.com technology as well as Htc likes service, 8gb micro sdcard, Htc Evo 3d 1.2 Qualcomm Dualcore Snapdragon Proccessor MSM (8660) both will be running the Adreno 220gpu, 1gb of ram, 4gb internal memory, Htcsense.com and Htc likes service, 8gb micro sd card expandable to 32gb, (2) 5meg pixel camera dual led flash, dedicated camera button and 3d/2d switch. I can go on and on but I will stop here. I do hope the Htc Sensation heads to tmobile it looks to be a very nice device and will compete with the top devices in 2011.. Our friends abroad should be very happy seeing both the Sensation/Evo 3d coming soon in there direction. This will be a great summer that’s for sure

  9. Name’s fine with me, but it better have a better battery than the other ****ty HTC phones that I’ve used.

    Please HTC stop producing your copy cat clones (yes this phone is dual) and make a phone with a battery that will actually make it through the day…
