LG Revolution Dances With the FCC

The LG Revolution is another one of Verizon’s 4G LTE phones that has been announced but Verizon isn’t keen on sharing launch details about. We may be getting closer to the inevitable, though, as it has landed into the laps of the folks at the FCC. The filing didn’t reveal anything useful as you’d imagine.

The LG Revolution is a looker with its 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 5 megapixel camera with HD video recording, 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera, 16GB of internal memory, and all of the other kibbles and bits you’d care about inside of a phone.

It’s also the phone Verizon’s using to test out their VoLTE technology that we’ve been hearing about (and that was demoed for us at Mobile World Congress.) Check out the FCC’s site if you want to see it for yourself. [via Wireless Goodness]

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

  1. is it just me or do all phones look the same

  2. Nope, not just you.

  3. 16 Gig internal? Will it have an SD slot with the ability to expand to a whopping 48 gig with a 32 gig card too?

  4. Quite a few high end Android phones have that black slate look, but specs, build quality, frequency of software updates vary wildly. It seems to me that Android phones that deviate from it do poorly, Motorola backflip, Motorola Charm, Droid Pro, The backs of the phone tend to vary more than the front, how much can you really vary the front when the front is 95% a touchscreen and with 4 inch + touchscreens you really don’t want to add any more size to the phone making it look different.

  5. @john. Make the edges spikey. And metal.

  6. @Aeok18109 it’s what’s on the inside that counts hahaha had to be cliché

  13. LG revolution is better than Thunderbolt. Here are why.

    1. It has HDMI out and mirroring (Tbolt has none).
    2. It has almost stock android with light skin (Tbolt has Sense on it).
    3. It probably has better battery life with 1500mAh vs 1400mAh in Tbolt.
    4. It’s able to do VoLTE (voice over LTE) in addition to data over LTE.

  14. Sounds cool…may pick this over the Tbolt and the Droid B

  15. I want this phone Period!!!!! I have the LG Dare for two years now and it has served me well. It has gone through a ton of crap and still works perfectly. So I know this will be my next phone period!!

I was about to commit to a Droid then read about horror stories related to MotoBlur, e.g. Exchange ActiveSync fail.
