Download Samurai II: Vengeance For Your New Tegra 2 Device

19

With the release of the Motorola XOOM and the availability of the Motorola ATRIX 4G, game developers are now starting to publish their Tegra-optimized games to the Android market. Today, Samurai II: Vengeance has seen its release and is now available for about $4.76. (3,49 euros.)

I had a chance to play this at Mobile World Congress and I was stunned. The graphics were beautiful, everything ran smoothly, and while the gameplay wasn’t terribly deep, it was still a joy to mess around with. If you’re looking for a reason to justify that big expensive Tegra 2 purchase, then look no further. And if you find any other games optimized for Tegra, drop us a line. We’d love to hear about them if we haven’t already. [Market]

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

  2. Would be a nice game also for 4+ inch screen phones like HTC Desire HD and Samsung Galaxy S etc,.

  3. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA tegra 2? This game has been running on the iphone 4 for months!! And it looks and runs perfectly!!!!

    Big Fail!!!

  4. Will this game work with Galaxy S devices? Considering the fact that it has a powerful gpu as well behind tegra 2.

  5. It’s okay. It was cool last year I guess.

  6. Why does this game require a dual core on Android but a single core on iOS?

  9. It’s been a few weeks since I bought an ipod touch for games. Don’t get me wrong, I love my Nexus One, but it got old for modern games way too fast….

  10. This game doesn’t need a dual core to be played! They need to put it out for all one gig devices!

Exactly, no need for tegra 2 for this game. iPhone 4 has this and Galaxy S is more powerful than it.

  12. @Dan Your right because I think that Apple bought their processors from Samsung.

  13. I read somewhere else that it’s optimized for tegra 2 but it will still work on newer phones. I searched the market and found nothing I would really love to play this on my Nexus S.

  14. Don’t worry…there are tegra 2 games that are much more powerful than what you can get on the iphone :)

  15. for all people complaining that this already runs fine on iphone 4, well this version has been updated visually to make better use of tegra2 dual-core processor, so in theory it should look better visually than the iphone 4

  16. havent been runing on android cause of the codes.. thats why on 2.3 you seen everything run good… 2.3 software is for gaming.

  17. the game runs perfect on 2.3 gingerbread not 2.2 or below unless u got a tegra 2

  18. @DonnyDon: According to this, http://downloadsquad.switched.com/2011/02/25/hd-games-tegra-tablets-android-market/ Samurai II proclaims “even more visual stunning graphics and polished gameplay” than its iOS version.
