0

amazon_ec2_web_180_originalAmazon’s host of cloud computing services has just been opened up to app developers via their Amazon Web Services SDK. Now third party applications can gain access to Simple Storage Service, the SimpleDB database,  Simple Notification Service, and Simple Queue Service. This opens up the possibility for applications that will upload photo and video content to Amazon servers, share information such as game highscores via their databases, and transmit messages using existing Amazon infrastructure.

Included in the SDK are libraries and documentation, as well as some sample code to get started. More info can be found at Amazon’s Mobile Developer Center.
