We are still wondering when we might hear anything official about the Nexus S, so why not take a look at another leaked shot to hold us over. This one really gives us a better (but hardly good) look at what’s going on with the curvey nature of this handset, but the image doesn’t do much to confirm or deny that the device utilizes a curved touchscreen display.
The image — which popped up on a Google employees account over the weekend — was taken from the same public photo streams bearing the Nexus S name that have been leaking for the past few weeks. But alas, it is the beginning of another new week, and we are still left without a clue of when this phone and Gingerbread might launch.

Meh.
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Let me know when there is real news regarding this device.
It does look slightly concave to me.
@ Khalood- I concur. Especially when compared to the straight grain of the wood underneath the device.
Does anyone knoww if this device will ship with stock android 2.3? I’d be really disapointed if samsung put any kind of touchwizz UI on the first Gingerbread phone…
WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANT!
looks like a large Palm Pre
@Ryan
a- ppl who call out first and second have no life
b- you failed which just makes it more funny
@Moe
First!
I find it surprising that people actually find this news…when there are some actual details rather than just a grainy image it will get interesting!
@kostek – Nexus is a Google copyrighted name. Hence this will be a Google phone and will run Stock. That also means that google will support it when it comes to the software (samsung still has to provide the drivers for the phone). So it will be the very first in the line for OS upgrades. :) (this statements are based that it truly is the next Google phone which it seems with the CEO of Google running around with it in his pocket)
Suggestion to Pahdroid…
Create a simple filter for people who post “First” that will broadcast the reality of the rediculously small penis across the internet.
I’m so disappointed that it isn’t a nexus two. That’s exactly what I wanted, a crappy smartphone maker making my nexus.
COMMON SENSE tells me the following about Nexus and Google:
1. Nexus One is the predominant choice of developers. Thus, if Google wants the fastest free testing and new apps for Gingerbread they are smart for releasing a new phone that people like me can get first.
2. Best way to dampen the holidays for Apple (and boost Android sales) would be to release a new Android OS before Christmas. If tech glitches prevent such a release, my 2nd choice would be a release to coincide with CES Show.
I dont understand the whole hype behind the “concave” concept. How is it useful to me as a consumer?
Looks horrible
I want gingerbread NOW! Please stop teasing us google.
Will verizon have it?
It’s curved screen
While the plastic shell is a bit of a disappointment, I think it’s very nice looking. Sleek, minimalist and elegant. Honestly, I don’t think I’ve seen a better looking android device since the Nexus One. With the possible exception of the Legend, HTC’s latest offerings have been down right gaudy.

So what’s with all the bitching? What did you expect?
IT hink I see a slide under keypad!

I’m sick and tired of reading junk like this.
