The Motorola Charm launched at a pretty bargain-basement price in terms of Android smartphones on American carriers, but that doesn’t mean T-Mobile can’t push the cost down even further. What debuted for a meager $74.99 on a two year contract will now cost you all but $49.99 for the same today. For that price you’ll get a 3MP camera with Kodak Perfect Touch, MotoBlur-equipped Android 2.1, a 2.8-inch display, and full QWERTY keyboard.

I think it’s pretty obvious why this phone not only started cheap, but became even cheaper. No one wants this poo-poo MotoBlur phone that we all know will never receive any Android updates.
I concur.
HTC is reportedly making their own version of this blackberry-style of phone…should be much, much better than this afterthought.
Me and millions of other bb owners were waiting for a bb style android, only moto has delivered so they deserve some credit for seeing this gaping hole in the market.
Htc will definitely up the hardware, but they are first place in fugly, so it’s gonna be a mixed bag.
And then there’s android itself, no gpu acceleration, no outlook sync, what are they waiting for?
