The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

  1. Looks pretty awesome. If it is cheaper then the ipad I might just get it.

  2. ooooooooooooh!

  3. Please have HDMI, and I will consider.

  4. This is a sure fire win for Samsung and Android. Probly wont make much of a dent in the iPad sales unless it gets heavily advertised like the Droid Series though.

And if my vibrant cost me $499 then how in the HELL is this thing gonna be any cheaper?

  5. Same way an iPhone cost $599 and the iPad is $499.

  6. @ Brett this is true. So we can probly expect a $399 – $499 GSTab. $399 and I’m sold wit the quickness.

  7. I am seriously interested in this tablet. I want a Wifi tablet with front facing camera and USB and HDMI. And that beautiful screen Samsung has been making. If this things comes in with a good price we shall see. I don’t need a 3g enable device because I have a Verizon Droid OG. I don’t want to pay for 3g I don’t use. We shall see.

  8. Well if their Galaxy S strategy is any indication, I hope to see this tab show up worldwide. :)

  9. I’ve been following this website for a while and really enjoy getting the latest news about Android world but I think lately it is becoming more like “Samsung Galaxy” promoter!

  10. @MRJ we assure you there’s no favoritism going on here. Just so happens that the Samsung Galaxy devices are the hot topics today.

  11. I really want this tablet, I want to be able to read my latest PDF ebooks on something a little larger than my phone screen :)

  12. ill wait for htc and google this samsung got to have the amoled screen

  13. My three choices to pick from are:
    Galaxy Tab
    WeTab
    Notion Ink Adam

  14. @MRJ
that’s because Samsung is doing a great job with their latest Android offering

  15. My main concern is the price point. I just hope it’s not an arm and a leg. This is probably going to be my Christmas gift to myself this year, unless something else thats A LOT better comes out before December.

Do anyone else think that this or other tabs coming out with 2.2 will see 3.0? The specs should be sufficient enough to run it.

  16. Well I assume it will be an arm (processor) at least. Chuckle.

  17. They’re only getting my money if it’s LTE capable.

  18. @ckeegan that would be implausible. Vzw won’t be debuting LTE handsets until the middle of next year and they’re the farthest along with an LTE deployment in the US.

  19. Ill wait for htc to make a tab. Samsung can suck it

  20. Samsung already have a microUSB to HDMI cable

  21. Looks cool depending on final specs and pricing. I think it would be dumb to rush out and buy one right away when we know others have Android tablets in the works. Personally Im waiting to see what Moto is going to do.

  22. who cares about a 7 inch eye straining gizmo, I am keith stone, and i do not recommend this.

  23. I think this thing is going to rock…I wish it were the size of the iPad though. I wouldn’t want a tablet that is 7 inches…

  24. If it ends up having the same res as the Galaxy S, then I don’t see the point.

  25. OK, sounds like the res will be 1,024 x 600.
In that case, I DO see the point.

  26. Keller…

Samsung can suck it? Lol Samsung knows a little something about design unlike HTC. Htcs got a long way to go in terms of aesthetics. They need to open their eyes and learn from Samsung or even Apple. I’ll admit, Apple makes great looking devices. HTC? meh… I do agree that HTC makes great products. Just not in the visual department.

    Samsung all the way!

  27. Looks great but I’m waiting for the Adam.If this was a 10 inch tablet with front facing camera maybe.

  28. Copycat samsung creates an expensive iPad rippoff with an ugly interface.
If you are buying this shit you fully deserve to be a fandroid.
