LG GT540 Dummy Units Show Up at Rogers Canada

The LG GT540, known as the Optimus in most areas where it has been released, looks to be landing at Canada’s Rogers very soon. They recently received dummy units to showcase the mid-range Android offering that MobileSyrup speculates might launch around $29.99 on a three-year contract. We’re still waiting for LG to man up and knock one out of the park with a high-end Android device, but for those of you in Canada who can appreciate what LG has done and don’t want to spend a ton of cash, this might be the Android for you. OK, that was quite a few variables so we doubt a whole lot of people will fall into that category, but still, another low-cost Android for the conscientious spender.

  1. When you have Nexus One which works with Rogers, why would you want this crap.

Yeah the only disadvantage is you could only buy Nexus One unlocked and now you can’t buy it at all. Loss for the idiots who missed out on a GREAT device.

Truly amazing, I love my Nexus One.

  2. @Slick I read that you can still buy them but only with TMO USA’s frequencies .. so that means it’ll just work in 3G with WIND. :/
