T-Mobile Pulse Gets An Update to Android 2.1

9

After T-Mobile Hungary customers with the T-Mobile Pulse received their upgrade to Android 2.1 in late May, the folks in the UK could not keep from scratching their heads trying to figure out where their phone’s upgrade has been. Thankfully, Hungarians today no longer have a reason to point and laugh as the UK version of the Pulse has received its upgrade to Android 2.1.

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

  1. Man, really? The Pulse in UK gets 2.1 and we are still waiting on every other (non-N1) US android phone to get off 1.x? Oh, Tmo… I love my super low monthly charges, but come on…

  2. I know that for my Cliq, at least, it seems to be a Motorola holdup not Tmo.

  3. ever think it might be a scheme between motorola and verizon to get customers so pissed of they buy 2.1 and 2.2 verizon stuff and dump t-mo?

  4. If it is then it is not a well thought out plan. I switched to the Samsung Vibrant from the Cliq for a few reasons but my number one was due to Motorola missing the upgrade date while putting out more Verizon phones. What a slap in the face.

  5. I downloaded a ROM from Modaco. Not only is it quicker, but everything is green instead of pink.

Not to mention the better handling of contacts on ROMs compared to the stock T-Mobile offering …

  6. Hey, with some of the bugs Verizon has had with rushing out the Droid updates, I’m happy to wait until they have the build just right. It’s still summer, friends.

  7. I’m with Ben on this one. The FLB modified ROM over at MoDaCo has got to be the best thing available for the Pulse right now. And if there is any advantage to this official ROM, you can be sure it’ll show up in the FLB version very shortly. Sure, upgrade to this official ROM first (because you have to start with some official ROM as the base), but I can’t imagine why people would not want to take advantage of the FLB modifications immediately.

  8. I now it’s subjective but for me this is one of the prettiest phones made with Android.

  9. yes I do want a phone that looks like a polished black stone
