By Yesterday we posted an early look at a bunch of HTC EVO 4G accessories, and now there is a listing in Sprint’s inventory for the device, months ahead of the scheduled release. The listing with the matching HTCA9292 model number is going for the small fee of $5,555.55.
Of course, this placeholder price will eventually be overwritten, but it looks like Sprint is already gearing up for the release for what I’m sure they anticipate to be their hottest handset of the summer.

lol, I knew the EVo would be marked up but damn. Good thing its a few months away, gives me plenty of time to save up. lol
I agree though, its only a placeholder. I wonder how soon it will be sold to the public, some say June 6 others June 13.

dang $5,555.55?…lol looks like im gonna have to start saving up. well at least this means that they got the device “almost” ready..hopefully.
I’m really hoping that they come out with this phone earlier than June.
For one, I just really want one, but I think it’s important they make it out before the next iphone.

If they announce a release date before there is an official date for the incredible I think I am going to lose all faith in big red.
Whichever comes first (Incredible or Evo) get’s my business.
UNLESS the Evo is announced to go on sale within 2 weeks of an incredible launch, then I’ll have to think about it.
the incredible is a beast in specs, but it doesn’t have the gloss. i like the evo its so much attractive, but i hate sprint. also im with t-mo, so fuck my life, 1 year left boooooooo for me.
