If you didn’t know, Phandroid.com runs on an open source blogging platform called WordPress. I’m sure you’ve heard of WordPress, right? Well the company behind the popular software has released an Android Application that you wpToGo users will find familiar:

The code for WordPress for Android was actually based off the original wpToGo code and the projects have been merged. Here is what you can do with the app:

  • Configure and manage multiple blogs
  • Comment moderation including the ability to reply to comments
  • Create and Edit Posts including categories, tags and photos
  • Create and Edit Pages
  • Get notified of new comments in the Android notification bar

I'm an Android and Tech lover, but first and foremost I consider myself a creative thinker and entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for ideas of all sizes. I'm a sports lover who cheers for the Orange (College), Ravens (NFL), (Orioles), and Yankees (long story). I live in Baltimore and wear it on my sleeve, with an Under Armour logo. I also love traveling... where do you want to go?

  1. This is great as I am starting another blog and need to update some of my other ones.

  2. My mind boggles as to why there is not a Blogger app, as Google owns blogger…

  3. Since you guys are WordPress, you should install the WPTouch plugin. So much easier to read on a mobile.

  4. Great news. I’ve tested wpTOgo and just sucessfully posted using the official WordPress app on my Archos 5 Internet Tablet (linking back to this page). I’ll be sure to install it on my Nexus One when I get it back from HTC (it’s currently dead). :(

    Thanks for the post! :)

  5. FC. FC, FC when entering name and pw.

  6. This is pretty cool.

I agree with Brian W. You should install the WPTouch plugin. I read Phandroid on my android and if it had a mobile theme, it’d be so much easier!

  7. Very cool.

Also, @jakemg makes a very good point.

  8. +1 on the WPTouch plugin. Not that I know anything about wordpress plugins, but if it means it’s easier to read on my phone, I’m all for it!

  9. Great app for my WP-blog. For my Blogger I use Blogaway, almost just as good.

  10. WordPress fantastic Good to see it come to my next phone!

  11. I feel that the PostBot is a lot more stable, but the wpToGo makes a much better looking post.
