Motorola removes all mention of Android Oreo from the Moto G4 lineup

0

In today’s episode of “The Internet Never Forgets,” Motorola is trying to erase the Android Oreo promise from the Moto G4 lineup. Let’s see how that’s going for them:

When the Moto G4 was launched, Motorola specifically mentioned that it would receive Android N and Android O. It was clearly listed on the website, but now, the mention of Android O has mysteriously vanished. You can see the before and after screenshots below.

Motorola and Lenovo made the Android O claim in a number of places at launch, but now they’re all gone. Customers are rightly upset about this. Not only did Motorola make a promise and not keep it, but they’re trying to weasel out of it in a sneaky way. That’s not cool. Motorola has been pretty bad with updates since Lenovo was put in charge.
