Android Auto is coming to new Mercedes and Kia vehicles starting today

Android Auto adoption is still growing and as of today, two more car manufacturers are adding the option to their various lineups. Mercedes and Kia have both added support Android Auto support for more than 20 new vehicles for potential owners. As for what cars will have the option from Mercedes:

  • 2017 A-Class
  • 2017 B-Class
  • 2017 CLA Coupe
  • 2017 CLA Shooting Brake
  • 2017 GLA
  • 2017 E-Class Wagon
  • 2017 E-Class Coupe
  • 2017 E-Class Cabriolet

As for what Kia models will be getting Android Auto:

  • 2014 – 2016 Soul
  • 2015 Optima
  • 2015 – 2016 Optima Hybrid
  • 2015 – 2016 Optima Plug-in Hybrid
  • 2015 – 2016 Sedona
  • 2015 – 2016 Soul EV
  • 2016 Sorento
  • 2017 Forte
  • 2017 Optima Hybrid
  • 2017 Optima Plug-in Hybrid
  • 2017 Sedona
  • 2017 Soul
  • 2017 Soul EV
  • 2017 Sorento

It’s also worth noting that since there are a few of these Kia vehicles are already available, you will be able to upgrade the head unit to Android Auto through a software update. You’ll just need to head to your local Kia dealer to get set up and make sure that your vehicle supports Android Auto.
