AT&T launches buy-one-get-one free deal for the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge

0

After a leak showed that T-Mobile would soon offer a BOGO deal for the official launch of the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, AT&T is beating the Un-carrier to the punch with a deal of their own. Starting today, new and existing customers who purchase a Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge can get a second Galaxy S7/Edge for free when activating it on a new line.

Both devices will need to be purchased through AT&T Next — the carrier’s monthly financing service — and on a qualified plan (like Mobile Share Value), after which you’ll see account credits for what would normally be the monthly price for the device. They also mention you can get up to $650 in credits by trading in your current smartphone is you’re looking to make the switch from your current carrier to AT&T. Here’s the full deets:

  • Available to new and existing customers
  • Both phones must be purchased on AT&T Next, our popular installment plan, as follows:
  • The first phone can be a new line or an upgrade.
  • The second phone must be a new line and purchased on AT&T Next 24.
  • Add both phones to a qualified plan, like Mobile Share Value, for as low as $70 a month for two phones.
  • After three bill cycles or less, you will start to receive up to $695 spread out over 30 monthly bill credits.
  • Just pay tax on both phones at sale.
  • After $695 in credits a Galaxy S7 will be free or the credits may be applied towards the purchase of an S7 edge.

Of course, as with most “free” deals, you’ll need to pay tax on the free device, but even then that’s a helluva good price on one of the best smartphones currently available. AT&T also took the opportunity to remind us that customers can get “unlimited data” if they have DIRECTV or Uverse, although keep in mind the carrier could throttle you if you exceed 22GB of data on that plan.

For anyone who has already purchased (pre-ordered) a pair of Galaxy S7s from AT&T after Feb. 26th, AT&T says they’ll credit your account for the second phone, providing you meet all the above criteria. Fair enough? For even more details, check out the press release linked down below.
