Sometimes it pays to work for a carrier. The Employee Edition of the Motorola DROID Turbo 2 is starting to get Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Last week a soak test started for the Turbo 2, so it’s not surprising that they are rolling out Marshmallow. Employees are a good place to start.

This update brings the Turbo 2 up to software version 24.11.13. All the usual Marshmallow goodies are included. Google Now on Tap, granular app permissions, Doze, and much more. Doze is especially important. Paired with a big battery, like the one in the Turbo 2, you can expect amazing battery life. There’s a bunch of other great stuff you’ll get with Marshmallow. Check out our hands-on videos with the developer preview to get a good idea.

If you’re a Verizon employee, let us know if you have received the update. This is a good sign that the update should be rolling out soon to everyone. Keep your eyes peeled for any updates, and let us know if you get Marshmallow!
