Verizon Catalog Lists HTC Thunderbolt With Android 2.3 Gingerbread – OTA Update Coming Soon

5

Looks like Verizon is already listing the HTC Thunderbolt as coming equipped with Android 2.3 Gingerbread in their upcoming fall catalog. The catalog should be arriving in stores any day now and with only a few more weeks left in September, we’re getting closer to that deadline HTC promised us about back in August. T-Bolt users shouldn’t have to wait much longer for their Gingerbread treats. Hang tight.

I've been obsessed with consumer technology for about as long as I can remember, be it video games, photography, or mobile devices. If you can plug it in, I have to own it. Preparing for the day when Android finally becomes self-aware and I get to welcome our new robot overlords.

  1. Come on Gingerbread for the Charge! Please come quick…..

  2. about freaking time.
running GB for a while now in several ROMs with leaked radios– and if weekend developers can do it (while addressing bugs in a few hours) then there’s no reason that a team of official HTC dev’s can’t do it since the GB code was provided to them several months ago. Either they suck or there’s a $-Hand in play here, pushing other devices that will have it out of box

    1. Verizon has big balls, they are getting a little too big for their own good. I just got a $829.99 iPåd2 for only $103.37 and my mom got a $1499.99 HDTV for only $251.92, they are both coming with USPS tomorrow. I would be an idiot to ever pay full retail prices at places like Walmart or Bestbuy. I sold a 37″ HDTV to my boss for $600 that I only paid $78.24 for.

  3. I’ll be glad to have an official gingerbread for dev’s to build on, although I’ve been running gingerbread on my phone for about a month and a half without many problems,, good to know HTC is finnally catching up to XDA lol
