HTC Flyer Available at Best Buy from $500

1

If you folks would rather have a WiFi-only version of the HTC Flyer – HTC’s non-Honeycomb tablet – then look no further than Best Buy as it’s now available for $499.99. The device is running Android 2.3 with HTC’s tablet-centric version of HTC Sense. It has a 7 inch display, a 1.5GHz single core processor, 16GB of internal storage, a VGA front-facing camera with a 5 megapixel back camera, and  – of course – compatibility with HTC’s Scribe digital pen.

As far as that pen goes, you’ll have to plunk down an extra $80 for the thing if you really want it. The Scribe pen allows the Flyer to enable certain functionality – such as hand-written notes and drawing – automatically. Many have anticipated its capabilities for use cases such as school and work where writing notes on a tablet may be favored over a traditional pen and paper setup.

Head over to Best Buy to grab yours today. After that, head back our way for intense discussion at the HTC Tablets section of AndroidForums.com. Oh, and be on the lookout for an unboxing and initial impressions later on from us.
