FCC Listing Points to AT&T HTC Wildfire S

7

You may recall the HTC aria, on of AT&T’s first Android phones. That handset bore a pretty big resemblance to the original HTC Wildfire. It should be no surprise, then, that the carrier would want to give their lower-tier Android lineup an update with the followup to the original Wildfire. An FCC filing is suggesting just that, pointing towards the HTC Wildfire S arriving on AT&T sometime in the near future.

The FCC listing shows AT&T’s GSM 850 and 1900 bands along with WCDMA bands II and V, making the release of the handset in the US almost a sure thing. No word on exactly when we might see it, however.

  2. This has already been announced for Bell Canada and SaskTel. I doubt you’ll be seeing it in the USA, or at least not by the same name. Same thing happened when you found an FCC listing for the Milestone and Desire (went to Telus).

  3. The wildfire and the aria are not similar Kevin. Jesus, do some research for a change.

The gratia was the European version of the aria.

  4. Att is back To its old self. Old school phones. I would like to see more dual core and 1.2 single cores.

  5. If Samsung were Apple, they would be suing HTC for encroaching on their hard earned mental real estate and brand image, due to the use of the S at the end of the phone’s name. Thank God Samsung are not Apple.

  6. Get the phone AT&T and put on GoPhone. Do some justice for once, all I’m asking from you. lol
