Xperia X10 Gets 10 Minutes Of Video Time
| by Rob Jackson on November 13th, 2009 |
If you’re craving more info on the Xperia X10 be warned… you can watch the below video… but you’ll have to endure 2-minutes of intense, dramatic music that would make Jaws’ jaw tremble. Or you could fast forward to 2-minutes in where they get to the hands-on of the X10:
Overall it’s looking pretty good. The UI seems fast, screen looks great. The visible “file folder” layering of contacts at about 5:15 in is pretty interesting, but if you’ve got a lot of contacts it probably isn’t the easiest solution to seeing what everyone is up to. By the way, the audio at this point has gone through a “Jaws” to “Megaman” type of transition if you’re wondering about the musical score.
At 7-minutes in they take a look at widescreen video and it looks awesome despite running on Android 1.6 with limited colors. The camera seems to have some customization in terms of camera/video options which seem unrelated to Android 2.0 improvements – this looks like SE customization alone. Overall I’m liking what I see and looking forward to test driving one of these.
As for when it will land in your area? Let the speculation continue.

I cannot view this video. I get the following message:
This is a private video. If you have been sent this video, please make sure you accept the sender’s friend request.
This is not the first time I have gotten this from an embedded video on this site. The truth is that it is very annoying.

Still looking pretty crappy. Even removing all the terrible performance wouldn’t do anything for this UI.
