The folks at BGR got their hands on Phase 1 of Best Buy Mobile’s holiday phone launches and we see 3 Android Phones make the list: Sprint HTC Hero, T-Mobile CLIQ and Verizon Android Phone.
What Verizon Android Phone is that? Most likely the often rumored Motorola Sholes/Tao/Droid but don’t forget the HTC Desire, Passion and Predator are all on the Big Red Radar as well. And if this is only “Phase 1”, how many more phases will there be?
[Thanks to Brian who pointed out it was 3… not 2!]
Looks like at least 3 more phases, Rob; October 25, November 15, and December 13. They’re not going to get here fast enough either way :)
Looks like 3 to me. You may have forgot the Cliq.
This is too funny. I got my 3rd phone call from Best Buy that my phone is ready for a “new every two” upgrade. I have no clue how or why VZW would share that with them. Regardless, I was at BB the other day. I asked the guy when the next “best” phones are due out. He said they are waiting impatiently for the Storm II. I responded that I was looking for a good phone, not a crapberry. The BB VZW “Expert” didn’t even know about the Android operating system.
Will Best Buy’s rebate program termination be terminated for these phones? The the wireless providers love to make their deals look sweeter than they really are >>> after rebate. We’ll see.
I work at bbuy and the associates at my store are very uneducated about Android and how much it could change the game
man i hope htc puts an android phone on verizon…. with sense
BB VZW may not know about the Android but i ask 3 different VZW store employees and all three said the exact same thing, “never heard of the Android and don’t know anything about it”. Could they have been told to act dumb? They have to know something. Even if they get there info from Phandroid.com. They just completely deny it or are oblivious to it.
For those of you willing to spend 5-10 min checking what im about to tell you, i believe for good reason Tao will be here by or before Nov 21st.
Read my comments and if you choose to check my work let me know what you think..

Marshal82, sounds like you need to educate them!
