Facebook has released a quick update for their Android application, and while it wasn’t immediately know what was different (no changelog in the Android market) the details have been found on their site. I would call this a minor update any other day but ever since Facebook updated their user interface it’s been as buggy as I’ve ever seen it. The “all kinds of bug fixes” part should be greatly welcomed by every user, as should the improved memory management code they’ve implemented. Find the small update in the Android market.
They cant just get it right
I’m not even sure they want to get it right, really. They don’t make money from the mobile apps (according to their paperwork recently released), so these half assed attempts at an app keep people going back to the website.
+1
FriendCaster is just… light years better. Keep trying, Facebook.
update improves things quite a bit
It is quiet better though
Arrr – FAIL :(
Nope, neither this version can’t uplaod photos from Galaxy Nexus :( What is wrong with you guys? Those are horrible bugs.
yup… I can’t read for shiznit.
I haven’t tried to upload a photo, but it seems like it’s constantly refreshing even without me scrolling up.
Thank Gawd, Facebook for android is Tuuuurible!
Hopefully this will prevent the app from accumulating massive amounts of data and annoying me with a “low storage” notification until I clear the app’s data.
It has improved a long way from what it use to be. The only problem I have with it, it seems a little sluggish at times.
I noticed the notification icons changed. That’s about it – app still runs really slowly…
