FCC filing has LG Connect 4G headed to Verizon

1

With plans for release of the LG Connect 4G on MetroPCS solidified, an FCC filing is suggesting a bigger player also has their hands on the LTE smartphone. Reference by model number VS840, the Connect 4G has received approval for CDMA/EvDO bands in addition to LTE band 13, the very band assigned to Verizon’s next-gen network. With much in common with the recently launched LG Spectrum, Verizon will likely market the 4-inch device as a smaller, cheaper alternative. It features a NOVA display, 1.2GHz dual-core CPU, 5MP camera, and runs Android 2.3. The FCC filing is our first indication that Verizon may launch the device. As such, exact pricing and release date are unknown at this time.
