After ripping into the Amazon Kindle Fire, the guys at iFixit had at it with its nearest competitor, the Nook Tablet from Barnes & Noble. Unsurprisingly, the Nook Tablet differs internally in many key areas compared to Amazon’s offering, though hardware specifics won’t end up being the factor that separates the two (see: Amazon’s otherworldly collection of digital content). For anyone picking up the Nook Tablet, iFixit notes that it isn’t the most easy to repair device, but major elements such as the 7-inch display can be swapped with minimal hassle.
