Samsung wasn’t the only OEM dropping source codes today — Motorola has also stepped up to the plate and released the kernel source for the Droid Bionic. Normally, this would mean would-be hackers and modders could get to cooking up some tasty custom ROMs for the device but I’m not so sure how far this will take them, given the device’s locked bootloader. In any case it’s there for the taking. Thanks, Motorola! …I think?

weird, i say its the last of batches of such an action. when the google/motorola acquisition goes through all the legal bells and whistles this will be a thing of the past. but i really could care less because im a loyal nexus freak
You mean you COULDN’T care less. Think about it.
The best way to respond to Motorola is to post this info as many places as possible, stating why NOT to buy a moto android device. Let their bad business policy will be the end of them. If google changes this, then wonderful, as the hardware of some of their devices is really good, but having a locked bootloader is UNacceptable on an open source OS like Android.
