That was easy. While other manufacturers are busy foiling the exploits of modders and hackers everywhere, LG left their brand-new 4G LTE handset wide open to established root methods, leading to the phone being broken wide open by the folks over at RootzWiki just a day after release. The rageagainstthecage method was all that was needed to easily crack the code and gain super-user access, a necessary first step to ridding the LG Revolution of all that carrier bloatware (Bing, yuck!).

LG your’e a company on the rise within the Android faithfull.. big fat star in my book! Now hurry up and fix my G2x on the quickness and you’ll be officially BADASS!
IS THE BOOTLOADER UNLOCKED??
BloatUI needs to take a hike too =)
Lg is already badass in my book. I love my g2x. Best phone i’ve ever had, and I’ve had alot of android phones on different carriers.
I would consider this phone since I have an LG dare that has been through hell and still works. Also has done it’s job perfectly and have had never had any problem with it. The only problem with this is that it is a 2010 phone with 4G. So I will pass on this one.
Woot: yea, it’s unlocked
Updated the Rootzwiki site with instructions for Windows users!
Too bad this thing has a HORRIBLE screen and crappy UI that has no functionality what so ever! Bing is just icing on the cake for people who don’t know how to root and de-bloat.
