Following the launch of the Metal Gear Solid Collection for several gaming systems last year, it looks like Konami is getting ready for another major launch this year, this time for the PlayStation 5 – a remake of the acclaimed Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is expected to arrive on the PS5 this year, based on an official trailer online.
More specifically, the trailer in question was posted by the official PlayStation YouTube channel, and showcases several other anticipated titles, all of which are teased to make their way to the console this year. As such, Snake Eater was included in the trailer, showcasing some key moments from the original game, albeit with much-improved visuals.
Rumors of a Snake Eater Remake first emerged several months ago, just around the same time that Konami confirmed the Snake Eater Collection for consoles such as the PS5 and Nintendo Switch. The game originally launched for the PlayStation 2 back in 2004, and doubled-down on the stealth-action elements introduced by the series.
No specific release date was given for the remake however, so fans will have to be a bit more patient at the moment.
