We own so many electronic gadgets these days that trying to keep them charged and powered at the same time can be a bit tricky, especially if you don’t have many wall outlets that are conveniently located.
Thankfully, a lot of today’s modern devices rely on USB charging, which means that plugging them into a PC or laptop or having a charger with multiple USB ports can come in handy. The UGREEN Nexode 100W desktop charger is a great example of that, where it offers speedy charging while also being able to charge multiple things at once.

Small and compact
UGREEN is no stranger when it comes to desktop chargers, but the Nexode 100 is actually one of the smaller desktop chargers in the company’s lineup. This means that if you have a small desk and want a multi-port charger, this could actually be a great fit. Alternatively, it is also small enough where if you want to bring it with you on the go as a portable charger in your travels, it works out too.
Charge everything at once
Now, don’t let the size of the UGREEN Nexode 100W charger fool you. While it might be small, it is also extremely capable. It comes with a total of 3 USB ports, two of which are USB-C, and one is USB-A for your older devices.
It can put out a total of 100W which is generally more than enough to charge most devices like your phone, tablet, Bluetooth speakers, wireless headphones, and so on. In fact, UGREEN claims that at 100W, it will be powerful enough to charge some laptops. This includes the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Lenovo ThinkPad X1, the Dell XPS, and the Microsoft Surface Book 2.
MagSafe mount
There’s also a MagSafe mount on the top of the charger which will allow iPhone users to magnetically and wirelessly charge their iPhones. While it might seem like an iPhone-only feature, take note that you can buy cases with magnets that will allow it to be used with the magnetic mount.
Also, with Qi2 launching soon and with Apple actually lending their MagSafe tech to the development of the new wireless charging protocol, future Android handsets should also be able to take advantage of this magnetic mount. One thing we should point out is that using MagSafe will limit the charging speeds to 15W, but if you can wait it’s not an issue.
Another benefit of this mount is it allows the iPhone to be used in Standby Mode to display the clock and calendar, perfect if you want a tableside clock.
Safe to use
A lot of companies advise that you should only use official first-party chargers. While we’re sure that most people wouldn’t mind using official accessories, the problem is that most of them are too expensive and too limited in functionality. Show us an officially-made charging accessory that has all the features the UGREEN Nexode 100W has.
One of the reasons they say this is because of safety, where official accessories are designed to support the device they’re supposed to charge. If you’re concerned about safety, UGREEN has built the Nexode 100W with several safety features in mind.
This includes real-time temperature detection, where it is capable of monitoring the charger’s temperature in real-time to ensure that things are not overheating. There is also the use of UGREEN’s Thermal Guard System to protect it from short circuits.
Lastly, the Nexode 100W is built using GaN technology. GaN is short of gallium nitride, an element that is starting to become more commonplace in chargers these days. Compared to the more traditional silicon-based chargers, GaN is favored because it allows chargers to be built smaller, but also safer as it is better at resisting heat.
Combine that with some of the other safety features we mentioned earlier and you can rest assured that you should be able to use the Nexode 100W with your various devices without any issue.
