Last month, it was rumored that OnePlus could be planning to launch the OnePlus 12 by the end of the year. Now thanks to a post on Weibo by user “more”, the specs of the upcoming phone have been revealed, giving us a taste of what’s to come.
For the most part, the specs don’t really reveal any surprises. For starters, the chipset the handset will be using will allegedly be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. This is probably the most interesting feature because typically, Qualcomm’s flagships are announced at the end of the year and only make it into smartphones the following year.
This year could be different as Qualcomm will be hosting its Snapdragon Summit earlier than expected, and that OnePlus won’t be the only company to be one of the first to be using the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
Other rumored specs include a Samsung 2K display that’s slightly curved, a 50MP Sony IMX9 main camera, a 50MP wide-angle camera, and a 64MP periscope telephoto lens. The phone is also rumored to feature a 5,000mAh battery that supports a pretty fast 150W charging.
Like we said, it’s not the most surprising of specs and for the most part, it’s kind of what we expected from a flagship phone anyway. OnePlus hasn’t confirmed anything yet so take it with a grain of salt for now.
