Earlier this year, OnePlus launched the OnePlus 11. Now according to a tweet by tipster Yogesh Brar, the company is expected to follow up with a second flagship phone in the form of the OnePlus 12, but instead of launching in 2024, the company is expected to launch it by December 2023.

What’s interesting about this phone is that it could possibly be one of the first smartphones to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Qualcomm hasn’t officially announced it yet but we expect that they will at the Snapdragon Summit towards the end of the year, so for OnePlus to adopt it so quickly is pretty interesting.

Other rumored specs of the phone include a 6.7-inch QHD OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is also rumored to pack a triple camera setup which includes a 50MP main, a 50MP ultrawide, and a 64MP periscope. There will also be a 5,000mAh battery accompanying it along with support for 100W charging.

It sounds like quite a killer handset, especially if OnePlus can beat other manufacturers to the punch with the use of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. That being said, this is only a rumor so it’s probably best to take it with a grain of salt for now.
