OnePlus 12 could be keeping the curved display design

0

When flexible displays were first introduced, many companies were quick to adopt it in their smartphones. It honestly felt it was more of a way to showcase the tech rather than because it was practical or functional, which is why these days we’re starting to see the return of flat displays.

That being said, for those who can appreciate the curved display design, you might be interested to learn that OnePlus is expected to keep that design with its upcoming OnePlus 12. This is according to a report from MySmartPrice that cites Digital Chat Station as claiming that the phone will feature a QHD+ resolution along with a curved display.

The report goes on to add that the phone’s display will be made by Samsung and that it will also come with a 120Hz refresh rate. Other rumored specs of the OnePlus 12 include the possible use of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.

It’s actually interesting because Qualcomm’s flagship chipsets are usually used in the following year’s phones. We have heard rumors that Xiaomi could be amongst the first to use the chipset later this year, but if this report is accurate, OnePlus could also be one of the early adopters.

The OnePlus 12 has yet to be officially launched but assuming the rumors are accurate, it could make its official debut in the last quarter of 2023, so we still have a bit of time before we hear or see anything official.
