Leaked ZTE Axon 40 Ultra renders show us what to expect from ZTE’s next flagship phone

ZTE announced their flagship Axon 30 Ultra back in 2021, which means that there is a good chance the company will be following up with its successor this year, and thanks to a listing on a Chinese retailer’s website, it looks like fresh and clean renders of the upcoming phone have been leaked.

For the most part, the front of the phone appears to be unchanged where similar to its predecessor, the Axon 40 Ultra will have a display on the front with curved edges. The renders suggests that the curved edges might be more pronounced this year, but there’s a chance that it might be the same and that the exaggeration is only in the renders.

The back also looks like it will be undergoing some changes in the design of the camera module. With the Axon 30 Ultra, there was a quad camera setup with an 8MP periscope camera and three 64MP sensors, but these renders suggests that there will only be three cameras, and all of which are rumored to continue sporting a 64MP sensor.

As for the rest of the specs, the rumors are claiming that it will most likely be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, come with a 5,000mAh battery with 65W fast charging, a QHD+ display, and 16GB of RAM. ZTE has announced an event for the 9th of May, so we should have more details then.
