OnePlus has confirmed that they will be hosting an event on the 14th of October where the OnePlus 8T will be revealed. We have seen some of the renders of the upcoming phone, but in case that wasn’t evidence enough, casemaker Case-Mate might have actually revealed part of the phone’s design on their website.
In a listing on their website for one of their Soap Bubble cases, it looks like the OnePlus 8T’s camera module was leaked. In case you haven’t been following the news, one of the changes that we can expect from the OnePlus 8T over the OnePlus 8 is the camera module where it has been given a redesign.
Instead of sitting in the center on the back of the phone, the OnePlus 8T will see the camera module moved to the side of the phone. We can also make out that there will be at least four different sensors, and what appears to be dual flash units. We should caution that this is a slightly different look from the previous leaks.
The listing does mention that this is supposed to be a case for the OnePlus 8T+ 5G (we’re not sure if they meant the OnePlus 8T Pro), and the images we’ve seen are for the OnePlus 8T, so it is possible that the Pro version could have a different camera setup to make it different from the OnePlus 8T.
Take it with a grain of salt, but remember to mark the 14th of October down on the calendars and check back with us then for the official details.
