It seems that if you come out with a new device, all you’ll have to do for it to receive root access is to take one of those tickets at the deli counter of a grocery store. The HTC Wildfire is the latest device to get root treatment courtesy of hacker extraordinare (or perhaps just “hacker” would suffice) and MoDaCo founder Paul O’Brien.
Instructions are not out yet as he’s still taking care of those pesky bugs everyone hates, but we should expect to see them published sometime soon.

Poor Incredible users! Its like the only HTC phone not to get a real working root!
the incredible has root, and custom recovery now. there are even roms that have been made. see here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=638
Its sad because thats not a true good root method for the Incredible.. its by chance you get rooted. Hopefully the X will be cracked in a few days.
Sigh… Backflip please?

@ramseyja – Having some magical root that only works for like 1% of all users isn’t really worth mentioning.
For the other 99% there is no root..
