We have been seeing numerous devices being updated to Android Oreo, and what better time of the year than when a boatload of new devices are in the hands of new users. LG has been beta testing the update to Android Oreo on the LG V30 in its home country for the last month or so, and it seems that the company has squashed all of the bugs.
The update to Oreo is currently rolling out to owners of the device in South Korea, but this move likely means that those of us in the rest of the world will be seeing the Oreo update sooner rather than later. The weird thing is here is the fact that there has been no mention from LG on the status of the international rollout for Android Oreo, let alone the possible update for the LG G6.
In addition to the various improvements already offered by Oreo, LG stated that the V30 will also be receiving improvements to the speed, battery, and basic performance. This also includes enhancements to the “screen configuration, graphics, and convenience features”, which is a nifty way of saying that the UI itself has seen a bit of an overhaul.
With the update beginning to roll out in South Korea, LG will likely hold tight on giving an official timeline for the US or International roll out, until the company confirms that everything is in the clear. In the meantime, let us know whether you would like to see Oreo come to the LG G6 or LG V30 first.
