LG is having a rough go keeping up with the times, it seems. New reports from Korean Media suggests the company won’t be getting on the curved display train for the LG G6. That’s not all that devastating considering Samsung is the only company pushing that quality in the United States.
It’s said they’re having supply constraint issues, which makes it sound like LG doesn’t have any technological issues to work through. Still, considering Samsung’s got enough of this stuff to hook other manufacturers up, we’d say LG would rather not have that issue.
Even more damning, though, is that the LG G6 won’t have high-speed wireless charging out of the box, either, if the report is to be believed. We would say it’s fine, but it seems LG is waiting for this technology to include any type of wireless charging tech at all, so we’re stuck to cabling for charging needs. Don’t mind that? Great! But it’s sure to be a bummer for many.
Of course, we’re still very early on and it’s possible LG could enact some last-minute changes to their plans, but don’t go into the LG G6 expecting everything under the sun. For now, LG is still trying to get their V20 launch going on a global basis, so we’re looking forward to that.
