There are currently two versions of the HTC 10 available in the US. An unlocked model for AT&T, T-Mobile, and other GSM carriers, and a Verizon a model. The unlocked model has less bloatware, should get updates more quickly, and doesn’t have the “Verizon” tramp stamp. If you’re a Verizon customer there is a way to use the unlocked model on Big Red’s network, but it involves a bit of hacking.

In order to use the unlocked 10 on Verizon, you’ll need an activated SIM card, S-OFF, and a Verizon radio file. The process involves bootloader, flashing files, and voiding your warranty. If that’s something you can do, head on over to the XDA thread and follow the instructions. If you’re not that adventurous, you can simply buy the HTC 10 from Verizon.

Anyone planning on trying this hack? Do you have the Verizon HTC 10 already?
