We recently reported the Motorola BACKFLIP would be headed to TELUS, and what a short wait it was with the handset being announced for immediate availability today. The BACKFLIP is bringing MOTOBLUR along for the ride, along with its reverse-hinged 3.1″ HVGA capacitive touchscreen and QWERTY keyboard. It will be available for $99.99 on a 3-year contract with data plan, or $249.99 without the data plan.
We’d be lying if we didn’t say the BACKFLIP hasn’t necessarily been the best received Android device. It comes to TELUS with the meager Android 1.5 in a market of upcoming 2.1 devices. If you’ve been waiting for this one and live in Canada now is your chance to sweep it up.
