Some new Nexus 6 availability information for folks in the United States has turned up as of today. For starters, AT&T has announced that they will begin pre-sales for the device tomorrow, November 12th. You’ll be able to pay $249 on-contract, though the off-contract price of $682.99 can be spread out over the course of 20, 24 or 30 payments with AT&T Next 12, 18 and 24, respectively. Unfortunately AT&T hasn’t given us any shipping estimates just yet, but perhaps that information will come to light once the pre-sale goes live tomorrow.
Sprint is also announcing that their device will be available as soon as November 14th — that’s this Friday if you haven’t been paying attention to your calendar. This isn’t a pre-sale, either — you’ll be able to walk into a Sprint store and walk out with a Nexus 6 after plopping down the cash.
Sprint didn’t mention any contract pricing details just yet, though you will be able to get it for its off-contract price of $696 with $0 down and 24 monthly installments of $29 on Easy Pay. One more tidbit on Sprint’s offering: it’ll only be available in a 32GB Midnight Blue configuration.
The Nexus 6 is the most expensive device in the line yet, though apparently not without good reason. It’ll be loaded with a 6-inch 2560 x 1440 display, feature at least 32GB of internal storage, has a Snapdragon 805 processor, a 13 megapixel camera and is compatible with Motorola’s Turbo Charger for up to 6 hours of battery life with 15 minutes of charging. It’s also the first phone to champion Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box, and considering the upgrade hasn’t found its way to the Nexus 5 yet that’s probably more than enough reason for many folks to look its way. Let us know if you’ll be looking to grab one in the days to come.
Disappointed that Sprint is only offering the 32GB in blue, but at least it has the device. 32GB has been plenty for me on my Nexus 5, so it should be fine for me and the wife. Definitely will be buying on Friday.
For only $50 more to get the 64gb it seems as if they probably have excess inventory of the 32gb cards so they are shipping all of the phones with 32gb first to eliminate excess inventory then they will start mass producing 64gb variants.
It will be interesting to see how this launch goes. On average AT&T does a good job of launch events we’ll see how they do with the Nexus 6.
AT&T and Sprint both only have the blue model. That’s disappointing. What else would happen though.
I hate that they keep talking about this new Turbo Charging “feature” Its not a feature of the phone but moreso the actual charger. You can use that charger on technically any Snap801+ phone. Its embedded in the chip not the actual phone. So technically if you use this or a similar charger (amazon) will get the same result. Still an amazing product but its not a feature of the phone but rather the charger.
True, but I think a lot of people are using the price of the charger to justify the price of the phone. Like, I bought a moto x and it didn’t come with a charger. If I want one, mototola sells them for an extra 35 bucks. Now if the price of the phone was a little bit higher, but it shipped with a turbo charger…
I’m on Verizon, at this point I’d be more than happy with 32gb blue model. I’m coming from a 16gb Droid DNA right now, 32gb will be a huge step up. And as for the blue, well, I know I’ll be getting a decal from SkinIt for the back of my phone anyway, and a case with a clear back, so the blue doesn’t really matter to me, I guess.
you’d be lucky to get any updates for the thing on time or at all
Good luck to anyone on AT&T or Sprint if it’s anything like the T – MObile release which was supposed to be tomorrow , good luck , I’ve been on the phone with T Mobile Escalations dept, confirming that the phone is definitely going to be released in stores tomorrow , even tho I understood not all stores would be carrying them , well guess what 4 hrs and 35 to 40 Phone call’s later directly speaking to the manager of said store not one said they expect to have it tomorrow or even Friday , most of them where like nexus what ….?
