T-Mobile has formally announced availability of the Sony Xperia Z3, the latest flagship device from the Japanese company. The landing date for the Xperia Z3 is set for October 29th, though you can claim yours as soon as Wednesday as pre-sales will have begun by then.
What’s more is that T-Mobile says folks who pre-order the device could have it ship and arrive before October 29th, something most carriers aren’t willing to tell you in these situations. That should give you all the more reason to pre-order if you’ve been waiting for its arrival.
It’ll cost you $26.25 per month for 24 months and $0 down under T-Mobile’s new Simple Choice plans where contracts are a thing of the past. That calculates to a full retail price of about $630 before taxes and fees, which is not a bad deal for what you’re getting.
The Xperia Z3 is loaded with a Snapdragon 801 chipset, 3GB of RAM, a 5.2-inch 1080p display and a massive 3,100mAh battery that should get you through a couple of days with no issue. It’s also waterproof, so you can go swimming with it and whatnot. It’s definitely one of the finest phones we’ve ever seen coming out of Sony’s camp and we’re glad it won’t be long before it makes its way to the states.

Don’t pay attention to Malcmilli. He’s using a term wiseguys, college students, hipsters and atheists are fond of using to try and make everyone who doesn’t know the term seem stupid. Even if that isn’t the case with him he could have just said “common sense”. He simply meant that the phone itself will effectively cost you $26.25/month. That is without the service, of course, so you’re bound to pay $70-90/month in practice. Screw contracts.

Isn’t this last year Note 3 specs except with a smaller display? (Yawns). Been there and done that.

No phone is really worth that $630 retail price when you can get a Nexus, One Plus One, Moto X, or Moto G for around half the price.

On the same boat here. Z3 looks much better, has better audio (both speakers and headphones) and better battery life. Note 4 has tons of features to play with, an amazing display and Quickcharge 2.0 charger. Camera quality is good on both, although I prefer the color accuracy of Note 4. I will go to a T-Mobile store at the end of the month and check these out before making a decision! If you aren’t using a stylus, then Z3 is the way to go!
^Just adjust the White Balance. I find Samsung to be a bit contrasty. You have more latitude to work with in the post with Sony. I have the Z2 and find the additional editing software pretty good.
